CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust is a charity, the sole corporate trustee of which is The Wigmore Hall Trust.

Chief Executive

Tom Hancox read Music at St Peter's College, Oxford, graduating with a first, before pursuing further studies as a flautist in Paris with Patrick Gallois, and at the Royal Academy of Music, London, with Paul Edmund-Davies and Samuel Coles, graduating with a distinction and the honorary DipRAM. He is both principal flute of Northern Ballet and co-principal flute of Britten Sinfonia, and works as a regular guest principal with some of the country's other leading orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Academy of St Martin in the Fields, and the English Chamber Orchestra.

He first learnt of CAVATINA in 2001, as he enjoyed countless free concerts through the Ticket Scheme. Having become increasingly involved in CAVATINA's workings whilst at university, he then went on to help the founders, Simon and Pamela Majaro, in the charity's day-to-day operations. Since August 2016, Tom has acted as the Chief Executive, responsbile for many aspects of the charity's work and presentation.
